Acting School - Theatre Company - Management Agency

MTA Red Theatre provides three essential elements to give the best possible support platform for future professional opportunities

Acting School

Red Theatre's acting school offers comprehensive actor training delivered by highly skilled teachers and industry specialists to prepare young performers for working directly as an actor on stage, in film and on TV.

A 2-hour acting class every Saturday forms the hub of Red Theatre. Qualified teachers that are also trained actors teach practical lessons in core skills including acting techniques, script work, vocal technique, character creation, preparation for performing a role, acting for camera and audition technique.

Alongside the main core programme, guest specialists also teach a wide range of additional skills such as stage combat, mask work, clowning, puppeteering and many more.

Finally and perhaps most importantly, the acting program is fluid to ensure that we teach not only core essential skills but also the most current to equip our students with the best possible tools for an ever changing industry.

Red Theatre Company

When candidates are selected for the acting school they automatically become a member of MTA’s “Red Theatre Theatre Company". This provides regular opportunities each year to develop and perform the skills they are learning.

Students work with professionals and like-minded colleagues during the creative process to develop exciting performances. Productions are performed in a professional theatre environment with the full support of technicians, stage crew, make-up specialists and costuming. Selected students may also have opportunities to tour in theatre-in-education projects and even act in short films to further their development.

Red Theatre's educational programs and productions are delivered by Highly Qualified Teachers and Industry Professionals. We present professional dance studios, drama studios and a hi-tech theatre to provide our students with the perfect setting.

MTA Management

Once the required standard is reached, dedicated students are invited to apply for MTA Management. Acceptance to the agency then opens up a further possible pathway onto professional opportunities.

Of course no agency can ever guarantee professional work but, as a long-established children's and young people's theatre school, we are regularly contacted for actors for both stage and screen.
